The setting sun from the top of mount Haleakala, 10,000 feet above sea level. It is astounding how cold it gets as you drive up from the base of the mountain. The temperature drops from 87 degrees Fahrenheit at the base, to 45 degrees at the summit. But the view… Simply amazing.

Nice shot with all the silhouettes.
The exif seems wrong… f1.4, iso 1600 and 1/160 shooting straight at the sun ?
Thank you for bringing the odd exif info to my attention. I have a WordPress plugin that normally pulls the exif info and puts it at the end of each post, which makes adding that info so much easier. However, in this case I have no idea where WordPress is getting those numbers, because the photo is properly tagged when I check it on my computer. I even re-uploaded the photo and WordPress STILL insists on those crazy exif numbers. Since WordPress isn’t playing nicely with this particular photo, I’ve hand coded the correct exif information and removed the incorrect info.
Thanks again!
