This was taken way back in 2005 while I was working in Cannes, France. This guy was the chef/waiter for my group of workmates and he took running his restaurant very seriously. Almost as seriously as he took his national pride. He disliked us immediately upon hearing my good friend (who was born in France but moved to America at the tender age of 6) trying to order her dinner in French. He gave her a very dirty look and said, “That is French? No. You do not speak French. You insult the language.”
